The CSCMP New England Roundtable offers a variety
of programs to help supply chain professionals increase their knowledge
and effectiveness, and to provide an opportunity to network.
Participants can attend dinner meetings, tours, and
seminars held monthly from September to November and February to May.
Dinner meetings are usually held at a convenient location in the Greater
Boston area and feature dinner, cash bar, and a presentation on supply
chain innovation by a professional or executive from a leading company
or University. Past dinner meetings included presentations from
representatives of Gillette, Tyco, Philips Medical, 7-11 Corporation,
and Legal Seafoods. Agendas include ample time for networking with
colleagues, friends, and business associates.
Monthly meetings are often in the form of tours,
where participants can observe first hand exemplary supply chain
practices of local companies. Recent tours gave participants an inside
view of the supply chain operations of United Parcel Service, Talbot’s,
New Balance, Corporate Express, and Ocean Spray.
The New England Roundtable also organizes periodic
seminars and special forums providing in-depth exploration of important
topics in supply chain management. Examples include Supply Chain
Security, Third Party Logistics, and Use of Alternative Fuels.
Information about upcoming events can be found
under Coming Events.
